In a significant policy update, the United Arab Emirates has eased the process for Indian nationals to obtain the coveted 10-year Golden Visa. As per the latest announcement, Indians are now eligible for the long-term residency without the previously mandatory condition of investing in property.
This change was highlighted by Meraj Rizvi, a veteran UAE-based journalist, who emphasized that investors can now qualify through bank deposits, business ownership, and tax contributions instead of solely real estate investments. The initiative aims to make the visa more inclusive for a wider range of professionals and entrepreneurs, especially those contributing significantly to the UAE’s economy.
The UAE’s Golden Visa allows recipients to live, work, and study in the country without a national sponsor and with full ownership of their business on the UAE mainland. It has already been granted to doctors, engineers, artists, athletes, and scientists.
