Iran has publicly lauded the performance of its latest missile technology used in recent attacks on Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa. Iranian state media and officials hailed the success of what they describe as a “new method” that allowed their ballistic missiles to evade Israeli air defenses and hit designated targets with “remarkable precision.”
The development marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two nations, following weeks of heightened tensions and cross-border attacks. Iranian Revolutionary Guard sources claimed the new missile guidance system employed a “smart adaptive navigation” mechanism, making it harder for Israeli Iron Dome and other missile defense systems to intercept.
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani declared the operation a “technical milestone,” stating, “The Zionist regime now knows that its cities are not out of our reach, no matter how advanced their defenses.”
Meanwhile, Israel has not fully confirmed the extent of the damage caused by the missiles, but several explosions were reported in Tel Aviv and Haifa during the attack, prompting air raid sirens and emergency evacuations in both cities. Civilian injuries were reported, although details remain limited.
The international community has voiced alarm at the rising hostilities, with calls from the UN and EU for immediate de-escalation. However, both Iran and Israel have signaled readiness for further action if provoked.
