Lucknow | April 24, 2025: In the wake of the recent tragic events in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali, Imam of Aishbagh Eidgah in Lucknow, has called upon Pakistani citizens to protest against their government and military for allegedly supporting militant activities.
Maulana Khalid Rashid emphasized that no religion condones violence and urged the public not to view such incidents through a religious lens. He stated, “My appeal to fellow Indians is not to view this terror incident through a religious lens. No religion condones violence or terrorism.” He further added that this is not the time for political division and called for unity among all parties to convey a positive image of national solidarity internationally.
The cleric’s remarks come amid heightened tensions following the Pahalgam incident, which resulted in the loss of numerous lives. His call for protest highlights the growing concern over the alleged role of state institutions in supporting militant activities and the need for accountability.
