Saudi Arabia has declared the Haj 2025 season a resounding success as pilgrims began performing the farewell tawaf (Tawaf al-Wida) at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, marking the final ritual of their sacred journey.
According to the Ministry of Haj and Umrah, over 1.8 million pilgrims from around the world participated in this year’s pilgrimage. The ministry credited the seamless coordination between government bodies, volunteers, and advanced logistical planning for the smooth and safe completion of the Haj rituals.
Authorities highlighted the use of modern technologies and AI-based monitoring to ensure crowd management, transportation, and health services were efficiently delivered. Saudi officials also praised the discipline of pilgrims and the efforts of health workers, security forces, and volunteers.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the Haj season passed without any major health incidents, a significant achievement given the massive scale of the gathering. Measures included heat safety advisories, hydration campaigns, and real-time health surveillance.
As pilgrims return to their home countries, many expressed deep gratitude for the Kingdom’s hospitality and the opportunity to perform Haj in peace and safety.
