Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has categorically ruled out any negotiations or normalization of ties with Israel, declaring that the Islamic Republic will never recognize or engage with what he called a “false and illegitimate regime.”
In a recent address, Khamenei stated that Iran’s position on Israel remains unchanged, reiterating Tehran’s long-standing support for the Palestinian cause. “The Zionist regime is a usurper and a cancerous tumor in the heart of the Muslim world. There is no justification for recognizing or negotiating with it,” he said.
This statement comes amid escalating tensions in the region, with Israel and Iran at the center of a growing confrontation involving cyberattacks, proxy battles, and direct military strikes. The Supreme Leader’s comments also follow global efforts to mediate peace and contain the expanding Middle East conflict, which has drawn in various powers and raised fears of a broader war.
Iran has consistently rejected any form of reconciliation with Israel, positioning itself as a leading force in the resistance axis that includes Hezbollah in Lebanon, Palestinian factions in Gaza, and other allied groups.
