Police in Ganderbal have arrested the 22-year-old elder sister in connection with the murder of her 14-year-old sibling. The arrest was made less than 48 hours after the younger sister’s body was discovered.
According to SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, the investigation revealed that an altercation between the two sisters escalated, leading the elder sister to fatally strike the younger one with a rod.
The incident has drawn condemnation from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who has called for severe punishment for the perpetrator.
