A horrifying incident of mob violence has emerged from Bihar’s East Champaran district, where a 65-year-old Muslim man was lynched to death by a Hindutva mob. The victim, identified as Naseeruddin Ansari, was brutally attacked on suspicion of carrying beef.
The incident occurred in the Math Banvaria village, where locals claim that a mob intercepted Ansari while he was transporting meat. Without any confirmation or investigation, the mob began beating him mercilessly. He was left in a critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
Family members and local residents have condemned the attack, accusing the police of arriving late and failing to prevent the assault. Activists and human rights groups have called for strict action against the perpetrators and highlighted the growing number of mob lynchings targeting Muslims under similar allegations.
This tragic event adds to the alarming trend of violence fueled by communal hatred and vigilantism. Many have expressed fear over the lack of accountability and growing impunity for such crimes.
